A 2000 px photo can still fail because the file is over 5 MB or 10 MB. This compressor keeps the pixels and lowers JPEG quality until the file fits 1 MB, 5 MB, or 10 MB. A JPEG that is already small enough is not recompressed. Transparent PNG files are flattened on white.

When to resize instead
Compression cannot make a huge pixel image small enough without looking soft. If the result is still over the target, use the marketplace image pack to export a 1600 or 2000 px square, then compress that file.

Will the image get smaller in pixels?
No, unless one side is over 8192 px. Quality is what changes.
Which target should I use?
