Walmart Main Image Checker

Check a primary image before you submit it: white background, how much of the frame the product fills, size, file size, and extra text or objects on the background.

Walmart primary images are expected to be white, square, and large enough to zoom. This checker uses the same pixel measurements as the Amazon checker, with Walmart's usual size and file limits. Confirm the current item spec for your category, because those limits change.

  1. Choose a category

Standard, Apparel or Shoes. Apparel and shoes change the fill and shape checks.

  2. Drop the images

Add up to 40 primary images. Nothing is uploaded.

  3. Fix what failed

Each failed row says what to change. Export every marketplace size from the image pack.

The checks

Size passes at 2000 px on the longest side, warns from 1000 px, and fails below that. Files over 5 MB fail. The background test is the same pure-white measurement used for Amazon. Product fill uses 85% on standard products. Apparel allows a smaller fill for a full-body shot and asks you to confirm the photo is not a mannequin. Shoes flag a wide subject that looks like a pair.

What it cannot check

It cannot tell a mannequin from a model, or whether the photo is the real item. Category rules in Walmart Seller Center still apply.

What size should a Walmart primary image be?
