Free Product Image Resizer

Turn any product photo into a marketplace-ready square image: pure white padding, the right pixel size, and the product centered and scaled. Free, no sign-up, and your photos never leave your browser.

Marketplaces each want something slightly different: a pure white 2000 by 2000 image for Amazon, 2048 by 2048 squares for Shopify, at least 2000 pixels per side for Etsy, and 1600 pixels for eBay. This tool trims plain borders around the product, centers it on a canvas of the size you pick, leaves an even margin so the product fills the frame, and exports a JPG or PNG. Drop in a whole batch and every image comes out consistent.

Image sizes for each marketplace

These are the sizes the presets use, based on each platform's published guidance. Requirements change, so check your marketplace's help center for your category.

  • Amazon — 2000 × 2000 px. The main image needs a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), and the product should fill about 85% of the frame. Images need at least 1000 px on the longest side for zoom.
  • Shopify — 2048 × 2048 px, Shopify's recommended size for square product images. Using one ratio keeps collection grids even.
  • Etsy — 2000 × 2000 px. Etsy recommends listing photos at least 2000 px wide and tall, and the first photo at least 635 px each way.
  • eBay — 1600 × 1600 px. eBay requires at least 500 px on the longest side and recommends about 1600 px.
  • Instagram — 1080 × 1350 px, the 4:5 portrait size that takes up the most space in the feed.

Getting an 85% product fill

With Trim plain borders turned on, the tool first finds the edges of the product by removing near-white or transparent space around it. It then scales the product so it fits inside the margin you set. A margin of 7% on each side leaves the product filling about 86% of the width or height, which matches Amazon's guidance for main images.

If your photo was shot on a colored or busy background, the trim cannot find the product edges. In that case, make a clean white background first and then resize.

Fit or fill?

Fit with margin keeps the whole product visible and pads the rest of the canvas with the background color. Use it for main images and anything that must show the full product.

Fill and crop scales the photo to cover the whole canvas and trims what overflows. Use it for lifestyle shots and social images where the edges of the scene can go.

Your photos stay on your device

Resizing runs in your browser using the canvas built into every modern browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so it works with unreleased products and large batches, and it is free with no account.

Is this product image resizer really free?

Yes. It runs in your browser, needs no account and adds no watermark.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing happens on your device. The images are never sent to a server.

What size should Amazon product images be?

A square of 2000 × 2000 px is a safe choice. Amazon needs at least 1000 px on the longest side for zoom, a pure white background on the main image, and the product filling about 85% of the frame.

Can it make my background white?

It pads the canvas with pure white and trims plain borders, but it does not remove a colored or busy background. For that, use the AI White Background Product Photo tool, then resize here.

Can I resize many photos at once?

Yes. Drop up to 20 images; every one gets the same size, margin and background, and you can download them all with one click.

Which format should I download?

JPG for white or colored backgrounds, which keeps files small. PNG when you need a transparent background.
