How to Make a Product Video with AI
A product video is either the product moving, or a person holding it and saying why it matters. Start from a photo you already trust, then pick one of those two jobs.
Choose the job of the clip
Silent motion is enough when the product should stay the hero: a bottle, a splash, a light moving across metal. A presenter clip is the right choice when someone needs to hear the selling points. Do not ask one generation to do both. A locked product shot and a person talking are two different videos.
Both start from photos, not from a blank prompt. Image to video keeps a still you already like and adds motion. The presenter tool uses a photo of the person and a photo of the product, then speaks the lines you type.
- Product motion: one approved still, one physical change, camera locked
- Presenter: a person photo, a product photo, and up to four short lines
- Social feeds: export 9:16. Product pages can stay square or 16:9
Animate a still
Use image to video when the frame is already right. Spend the prompt on what changes, and say what must stay fixed. Large motion and a moving camera are what bend labels, caps, and bottle shapes.
The perfume clip in the gallery starts from a finished splash still. The bottle stays sharp, the framing stays the same, and only the water and the light move: ripples spread, the splash settles, droplets fall, and a streak of light crosses the glass. That is one shot, not a sequence.
Seedance 2.0 makes clips from 4 to 15 seconds. Seedance 2.5 extends that to 30 seconds. Draft on a faster 720p version while you are testing the motion, then move the same prompt to the flagship for the cut you will publish. Put "no text" in the prompt so the model does not paint letters onto the product.
Make a presenter video
Upload a clear photo of the presenter and a photo of the product. Write the selling points one per line, up to four. Each line is spoken on camera, so write it the way a person would say it.
The pressed-powder example uses three short lines: a sheer buildable rose color, a finely milled soft powder, and a slim compact that is easy to carry. Concrete lines fit a short social video. A sentence that starts with "our premium innovative design" does not.
Use a photo of yourself, a generated person, or someone who has agreed to be in the video. A front-facing photo from the waist up, with the hands visible, gives the model something to hold the product with. The product photo should show the whole item, sharp, on a plain background.
- Presenter: waist up, facing the camera, hands visible
- Product: the whole item, sharp, plain background
- Script: up to four lines, one benefit each, short enough to say in one breath
Set the length and the frame
Four to eight seconds is enough for one product action or three spoken points. Longer is not clearer. If the idea needs a second scene, make a second clip and cut them together outside the generator.
Use 9:16 for Reels, TikTok, TikTok Shop, and Shorts. Use 1:1 or 16:9 when the video sits on a product page. Resolution and duration both change the credit cost, and the studio shows that cost before you generate.
Check the clip before you publish
Watch it full size. On a motion clip, check the product shape, the label, and the edges against the original photo. On a presenter clip, check the hands, that the product is the one you uploaded, and that the spoken lines match what you typed. Do not publish a claim the product cannot support.
If the product warps, shorten the motion and lock the camera before you rewrite the scene. If the presenter says the wrong thing, shorten the line. Generate the still you want first, then animate it. A good first frame fixes more than a longer prompt.
How do I make a product video from one photo?
Open image to video, upload the photo, and describe one motion while telling the model to keep the product sharp and the framing unchanged. Keep the camera locked.
How do I make a presenter say my selling points?
Use the product presenter video tool. Upload a person photo and a product photo, then type up to four short lines, one benefit per line.
How long should an AI product video be?
Four to eight seconds is enough for one action or a few spoken points. Seedance 2.0 runs up to 15 seconds, and Seedance 2.5 up to 30. A second scene should be a second clip.
What aspect ratio should I use?
9:16 for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts. 1:1 or 16:9 for a product page.
Can I use someone else as the presenter?
Only a photo of yourself, a generated person, or someone who has agreed. Impersonating a real person is not allowed.
