AI Product Photo Prompts

Real prompts for product photography, each shown with the image it produced. Copy one, swap in your product, and generate your own catalog shot, ad or lifestyle scene.

Every prompt below follows the same structure: the product and its materials first, then the surface and background, then the light, the camera, and what to leave out. Keeping that order makes prompts easy to reuse — change the product line and the rest still works.

  1. Copy a prompt

Pick the example closest to your product and copy it.

  2. Swap in your product

Replace the product, material and color; keep the light and camera.

  3. Generate and refine

Run it in Text to Image, then adjust one detail at a time.

White smartwatch catalog shot

Catalog photograph of one white smartwatch shown twice: the blank front dial on the left and the silver sensor back on the right, white silicone straps, light gray seamless background, soft contact shadow, even softbox light. No brand name and no text.

Luxury perfume splash ad

Luxury perfume advertisement: a faceted clear glass perfume bottle with a gold cap standing on black glossy water, a crown-shaped splash frozen around its base, droplets suspended in the air. Deep black background, a single rim light tracing the bottle edges, amber liquid glowing inside. High-end product photography, ultra sharp. No brand name, no text.

Emerald ring macro

Macro jewelry photograph of a thin gold ring set with a single oval emerald, resting on a piece of rough dark slate. Crisp facets catching light, a soft green reflection on the stone surface, a sliver of warm backlight, very shallow depth of field. Luxury catalog photography. No brand name, no text.

Overhead ramen food photo

Overhead food photograph of a bowl of tonkotsu ramen on a dark walnut table: creamy broth, two slices of chashu pork, a halved soft-boiled egg with a jammy yolk, nori, scallions and sesame. Steam rising, chopsticks resting on the rim, soft window light from the left, shallow depth of field on the egg. Editorial food photography. No text.

Serum in a forest scene

On a wet mossy river stone beside a small forest stream, soft morning light through the trees, light mist, water droplets on the stone.

Leather bag image set

1. centered packshot on pure white 2. three-quarter studio view on a light seamless surface 3. close-up of the gold buckle and pebbled leather 4. worn crossbody over a denim jacket in soft street daylight

The structure behind every prompt

  • Product — what it is, its material, color and the details that must show
  • Surface and background — seamless paper, slate, water, wood or a scene
  • Light — soft and even for catalogs, one hard rim light for luxury ads
  • Camera — overhead, macro, three-quarter; lens and depth of field
  • Exclusions — "no brand name, no text" stops the model inventing logos

Catalog shots versus ads

The smartwatch prompt asks for even light, a light gray background and a soft shadow, because a catalog image should show the product honestly. The perfume prompt does the opposite: a black background, one rim light and a frozen splash, because an ad sells a mood. Decide which you need before you write.

Using your real product

Text prompts invent a product that looks like yours. For a listing, start from a photo of the real item: the product background changer and image set tools take short prompts like the last two examples and keep your product unchanged.

What is a good prompt for AI product photography?

Describe the product and material, the surface and background, the light, the camera angle, and what to leave out, in that order. The examples on this page all follow that structure.

Can I use these prompts for my own products?

Yes. Copy a prompt, replace the product description, and keep the lighting and camera parts.

Why do the prompts end with "no text"?

Without it, models sometimes add made-up labels or logos to products and packaging.

How do I keep my real product unchanged?

Start from a product photo and use the product background changer, image set or white background tools instead of text to image.

Where can I see the settings behind each image?

Open a case from its card to see the inputs and settings behind the result, then make your own version in MiniMaxVion.
